On January 6th, 2019, we lost my Dad, Gib Stine to glioblastoma. Dad had a lifelong passion for cars and racing, and raced and prepared a 1959 Austin Healey Sprite for the majority of his adult life.
Dad's home away from home was Watkins Glen International, where he raced his beloved Bugeye several times a year, and was a multi-race winner throughout his career. His other favorite track, and where I frequently race my 1961 Austin Healey Sprite, was the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.
This summer, in honor of Dad, I intend on riding my road bicycle 500 miles, over 5 days, starting at Mid Ohio and finishing at Watkins Glen, and camping at State parks along the way. For the car racing enthusiasts, I am calling this self-supported ride the F*ck Cancer 500.
Through this ride, I want to support the Glioblastoma Foundation in transforming glioblastoma therapy and finding a cure for this horrible disease. I am raising money for Glioblastoma Foundation in Dad's memory.
I ask that you please help me by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Glioblastoma Foundation, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Together we can transform Glioblastoma into a manageable disease. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
